      Customer Support Specialist Interview

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Loom in Aug 2018

      Interview

Heads up: This is a slightly long review detailing the steps through the interview process and my personal experience. So, I originally applied to Loom August 7th after doing my research on the company and discovering that I wanted to be a part of such an amazing team! To apply, you are asked to make a Loom video answering the questions that they have provided in the initial job listing in addition to attaching your resume. To be honest, I loved that it was a different process than most other applications that I have experienced in the past. Not to mention a phenomenial product that was incredibly quick and seamless to install (literally 2 clicks and boom you're done!) One of the cool things about making an actual Loom video is getting the notifications that your video has been viewed and also by whom. Exactly 7 days later (August 14th) I recieved an initial interview invitation from Rachel with a link to schedule a time. I chose August 17th for our interview date. My interview with Rachel went great. She was kind, sweet, very engaged, spent time getting to know me and shared some informative details about herself and the company. The interview lasted roughly 30 minutes and was more of an introduction for us both. August 19th I received a "Next Steps" invitation from Rachel with a link to schedule my second interview. I scheduled it for August 24th. This interview was with Ian and went more into detail about the company, getting to know me, how I operate in different settings and things of that nature. It was fun and felt more like a welcoming conversation that lasted for a little over an hour. The questions that were asked showed me that the company was interested in getting to know ME. Who I was outside of work, my hobbies, what past employers might say about me and all of that good stuff. This was another great experience that was warm and welcoming as well. August 27th I recieved an email from Susana inviting me to schedule an interview with her (and of course I was over the moon. I made it to the 3rd round!) I scheduled my interview with her for August 31st. This interview went more into detail about the role, what to expect in the position, what a day in the life of a Loom employee in this role would look like, past experiences and some getting to know you dialouge as well. This was a very plesant and inviting interview as well. I can honestly say that Loom hires amazing people! People that are kind, attentive, welcoming, and just overall great humans! This interview lasted for about an hour as well and the time seemed to pass so quickly. After this, I was told that I would have a short take home assignment that wouldn't last longer than 30 minutes as the final step. From there, I would have a casual conversation with someone from the company as a FINAL FINAL step for culture fit purposes and fun things like that. Then lastly there would be refrence checks and an offer letter to follow! Overall, I have had nothing but positive experiences from all three interviews with nothing but great things to say about the people and the company. It's truly a testament to the culture of the company to be surrounded by so many amazing people. So now, I am patiently awaiting the assignment and will hopefully be telling you all in the coming week that I am OFFICIALLY A LOOM EMPLOYEE!!! I hope that this review helps someone else. If you are thinking about applying, GO FOR IT and good luck to you. May the odds be ever in your favor! (I am selecting "no offer" because I am still going through the process...almostt there!)

      Interview

Loom was initially quick to get back to me after I applied online. I appreciate their swift process, unlike most companies, they won't have you waiting long. First, had a quick phone screen with recruiter which was your typical screen, shared my experience and learned more about the position and Loom. The call went great and was moved onto the next round with a manager. It at all went downhill as my interview with this individual was completely underwhelming, and I was asked a bunch of random questions about a previous job on my resume. I was barely asked support related questions, or questions about my personality. (i.e: how do you communicate, what are your strengths, etc) I'm certain this interview was designed only to gather data regarding other companies and how they operate, it was pretty clear Loom was not interested in myself, my strengths or abilities. Overall, felt like I wasted my time the only positive is that I didn't have to wait long to hear that I wasn't moving on. Afterwards, I reached out to the recruiter to see if I could receive feedback. Wasn't surprised when I didn't hear back.

Great interview experience. Quick to get back to me and easy to schedule with. I reached out directly and had a video interview scheduled the next day. I didn't end up getting the position but had such a great experience interviewing with them I'd be happy to go through the process for another position.
