I applied for multiple service and IT-related positions with Linder Industrial Machinery and the hiring process was one of the most disorganized I’ve experienced. Positions stayed reposted for months despite the roles seeming fairly realistic and fillable, yet communication was extremely limited unless I personally followed up.
I was repeatedly told the hiring manager was in meetings, informed recruiters were unavailable due to conventions, and even voicemails left with HR were never returned. The company promotes a “strong leadership culture,” but that was not reflected in the hiring experience.
There was also little to no salary transparency despite high expectations for applicants. After months of reposted openings and minimal communication, the process eventually felt more focused on collecting resumes than actively hiring.
After my experience, I looked through reviews from other applicants and former employees and noticed many of the same complaints regarding HR communication and organization, which made this feel less like an isolated issue.
They are not hiring. They are collecting resumes and looking like they are "adding jobs". If you have a job open for months. It's not your candidate pool. It's your HR and Recruiter that are the problem. (Plant city, Fl Location Specifically).
I applied online. I interviewed at Linder Industrial Machinery (Greensboro, NC) in Jul 2024
Interview
Contacted by HR, she was very nice and polite. Had an interview set up and it was cancelled the day before, they said they were going to spread the work out among other employees and not hire. I had noticed within Indeed they had a lot of job postings lately and it made me wonder why, to which I was going to ask why such a big turnover rate here in NC. After reading these reviews about the company I see why now, and I am glad they cancelled the interview
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Linder Industrial Machinery (Plant City, FL) in Apr 2016
Interview
I was contacted by email to come in for a face to face interview. I went to the interview and was told that the lady I had an interview with was in a meeting so I met with someone else!
The woman I spoke with seemed very nice and professional. She listened and answered questions that I had. I did notice that the office staff was not diverse and a red flag came up when she said that the last employee in the position I was interviewing for quit without a notice and that they were using temps. The interview lasted about 45 min.
I was called/emailed to come in again that afternoon so I could meet with the lady I was supposed to interview with that morning.
As soon as I walked in that lady seemed to have issues. She was very cold. When we went into one of the conference rooms she freaked out when she saw a few boxes with dust on them ( the conference room was dirty) When she finally calmed down. She asked me to explain my current work situation and in that discussion I explained to her why I was hoping to leave the company, and she continued to ask the same questions over and over. She kept trying to make something out of nothing. (About the reason I wanted to leave my current company) I explained to her more than once that I was looking for a position that would work with my college schedule and that offered good benefits. The questions she continued to ask were so horribly stupid I couldn't wait to leave, I completely checked out and wasn't surprised to hear that I didn't get the position. I couldn't be happier, I wouldn't be able to handle working for somebody like that.
