I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lidl (Gorey, Wexford) in Jul 2021
Interview
Just a phone call with the store manager. I had worked at Aldi for almost 2 years prior, so this interview was more about getting to know me, rather than testing my work ethic or relatable know-how. Was a quick and simple interview.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
