I had to wait for around 10 minutes, then there were two interviewers. The process seemed smooth. One interviewer seemed to observe my body language and introduced the store to me. He didn't ask many questions. At the end I got the impression that I've got the job as they asked me when can I join if I get accepted and do I have anything coming up to take off from the work. He also asked me about when would I get my uni timetable so I know the exact days I can work. But meh, I didn't get the job :(
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
