Interview
I applied to this position seeking a change of scenery after six years as a working professional. While the role was slightly above entry-level, I approached the process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.
The hiring process involved three virtual interviews, a written and Excel-based exam, and finally, an in-person interview. While this seemed extensive for the role, I was willing to invest the time and effort. I appreciated that the team members I interacted with were friendly and that they made me feel like I was progressing well through the process.
When I received the exam to complete on my own time, I spent approximately two hours ensuring that my responses were detailed and accurate. I then attended the in-person interview, during which I was told to expect a decision within a week.
Two weeks passed with no communication, so I followed up, only to be told that they needed more time. I responded that I understood, but after that, I never heard back from them—no update, no decision, no courtesy email to inform me that I wasn’t selected.
While I understand that not every candidate will receive an offer, the lack of follow-through and professional courtesy was frustrating. The extensive process demanded significant time and energy, yet the company didn’t afford me the basic decency of closure. It’s disappointing that an organization would treat candidates this way, especially after putting them through such a rigorous process.
I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their candidate communication going forward. Candidates deserve respect and transparency, even if they aren't ultimately selected.

Interview
First a screen with a very nice in-house recruiter and then a Zoom interview with someone above the hiring manager who explained the job well and answered a lot of questions. He was sure to point out the difficulties of the role and was very honest. He asked about my experience with community and crisis communications.

brief interview via zoom with therapist, director and the nursing manager at the time. Interview process was relatively brief and had the typical questions as to why you should be hired, about your experience etc.
