I went for my second interview at the LexisNexis KL office in Bangsar South. The senior managers seemed unprepared—the session started seven minutes late. I felt over-prepared by comparison.
The office itself felt lifeless; for a sales floor, it was unusually quiet. The MD came across as uninterested, contentious, and overly blunt. The questions were basic, and she kept going on about the company’s tough culture, intense reporting, and layers of red tape.
After waiting two weeks with no word, I had to follow up with the recruiter myself. Only then did I receive a generic rejection WhatsApp message stating the MD didn’t see me as a “strong fit.”
Overall, I regret spending so much time and energy on a process that felt poorly managed from start to finish.
