Soon after I applied, HR contacted me on my mobile without checking first if I was free. I thought this was quite unprofessional, but as it happened, I was free. She was very complimentary about my CV and indicated that I suited the job description well. I heard back from her later that day by phone call and message (later in the evening) to say that she had secured an interview time with the hiring manager. It all seemed quite urgent and intense and she told me what sort of questions I would be asked and what to research. She repeated that I was an excellent candidate. The interview itself was lengthy and more of a “chat” than a formal interview. The hiring manager was “selling” me on the role, told me about “Circle of Excellence” and team/individual rewards. She said my CV stood out due to my vast and varied experience and the fact that I had run my own business. She concluded by saying that I would hear back the following week and that there likely would be an interview with her manager and HR, more as a formality. She did indicate that she had other interviews set up for the following week. When I did not hear back after a week, I followed up with HR and did not receive a reply. I emailed again this week to both the HR and hiring manager and it appears HR has blocked my email. Still no response. The most confusing and unprofessional experience.
