Interview
three person panel. in person. no virtual option. asked way too many questions for a part time position. It was like applying to a full professor position for an adjunct job and pay.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Lewis & Clark Community College (Alton, IL) in Jul 2024
Interview
I applied on June 3 & did not get a call for 7 weeks. When I got the call, the lady never even told me who she was with & wanted me to come in the next day. I was out of state. I was able to set up the interview for the following week.
It was a panel interview with 3 people. Nobody really seemed to know much about the position. They asked me questions of what I could bring to the table but weren’t able to explain processes already in place, just that it was a lot of scanning.
Only 2 people really spoke much & I got the impression that people don’t stay & commute to MO for better pay. They asked me about that & I let them know I live close & am not looking for another position where I'm commuting or always on call. I want to use my skills & go home at the end of the day.
At the end, I asked what next steps would be & they said they would be making a decision by the end of the week & they’d let the candidates know. 2 weeks have gone by now & nothing.

Interview
Panel interview with multiple leaders within the college, no just the HR department. Very personable interviewers with a more casual approach to the process. Expressed they were wanting to fill the position very soon.
