This company is outrageous. I applied on LinkedIn and who I thought was a recruiter contacted me. We set up a screening time. It turns out this person was responsible for marketing and product, supposedly a leader. The person was late and the first thing out of their mouths was about how she had a hard stop. Then, without really introducing the company, the vision, the values, or anything, proceeds to tell me that the job has changed and it is now mostly about producing a podcast for their leadership team and not what I originally applied for. However, it was still going to be about social media. The way this was described meant it should have been at least two different jobs, and that despite the role being for social media originally, they did not treat this with the level of respect it ought to have. They were interviewing a social pro for a role they now casted that aside for. She then asked if I had questions. This was two minutes into our time together. Dramatically chaotic and completely unprofessional. This was like walking into a pizza shop and asking them to hire me. I told her I was not interested in this and that they've lied about what the job was and hung up the call.
