The interview was arranged via an agency, a friend passed my details to them.
First, the interviewers were late.
There seemed to be a friendly atmosphere to begin with.
A lot of the questions were fairly straight forward, and common sense but as we got further into the interview it seemed to become more like a cross examination in a court room.
Rather than take a well know approach to looking at past experience to judge future performance, it was more of an "if you can't answer the question exactly, then you cant do the job, or you'll fold under the pressure".
What I found particularly irritating was the fact that individuals were concerned that if you left the office 5 minutes early you would be in big trouble. The tone of the conversation was patronising, almost like a Teacher talking down to a 5 year old.
I felt like terminating the interview there and then. I kept my cool however.
I laughed through the interview thinking that these lot are too big headed and I would never want to work here anyway.
I knew my worth, and found a much better, senior job elsewhere paying 50% more with a much nicer and extremely professional staff.
