I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LanguageLine Solutions (Houston, TX) in Sep 2020
Interview
Got a random email asking if I was interested in covering an assignment. I replied yes with a hourly rate and received a call from a scheduler. Signed a few documents and became a temporary interpreter. To become a contract interpreter I had to take an online course about interpreting and take several quizzes with a language screening test. Screening was not difficult but the process was delayed several times because I was getting emails from 5-6 HR ppl and no one was following up with the next steps.
