After an initial screening over phone, I was called to Hyderabad for a face to face round with the CEO. The discussion lasted for more than an hour where I saw a genuine effort from his end to understand my work and fitment for the role. I was told that the offer should be rolled out in a week's time since he feels he has seen what he was looking for and now it was up to me to prove him right. The coordinator was then asked to show me around the office and give me a download regarding the culture. However, after such a positive experience, when I followed up after a week since there was no offer, I was told that there are other candidates scheduled from other cities and the process would take some time. Not being able to send a professional rejection mailer with feedback on pointers I could have improved upon was a little immature.
