I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lam Research (Fremont, CA) in Jul 2023
Interview
Interview itself was mostly fine but the logistics and lack of follow-up from the recruiters after the interview were frustrating. They were excited for my application prior to the interview and seemed very interested during it, so I was disappointed that the recruiters ghosted me afterwards. Plus, they had to pull in two substitute interviewers in a row due to logistics issues. Perhaps because of this, it felt like the interviewer did not review my credentials at all, since they asked very basic questions that were rather insulting considering my skillset. Please consider that your prospective hires may be future customers. This experience has tainted my good perception of the company. How will I know that they will handle my future projects with professionalism if this is how they treat other people?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Lam Research (Fremont, CA)
Interview
Had three back to back interviews with the director, manager, and the engineers you work with. This type of interview was done years ago but now it might be easier with just an interview with a manager and one other supervisor.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you work under stress and difficult coworkers
The interview was relatively straight forward with an emphasis on attitude and work ethic. I was surprised at the lack of technical questions, but I suppose it's due to the fact that I was applying for as a technician and not an engineer.
