      Project Manager Interview

      May 5, 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Labcorp in Mar 2021

      Interview

Three part interview spread over 3 hours, each part with a different group, so a lot of repeat questions. First hour was with lead scientist and study coordinator managers (not direct managers for the position). Almost the entire hour was filled with targeted selection questions (STAR). Second hour was with the direct manager. Also included more targeted selection (STAR) questions but not as formal and more conversational and flowing of a discussion. Third hour was the least formal with the other project managers. More of a get to know me portion with some normal interview questions. Received a call a week later and was asked to talk to another group of project managers at a different site. Spoke to them for an additional half hour which consisted of normal interview questions ("Why do you want this job? How do you deal with stress? How do you stay organized?", etc). Overall, a long interview process and answering a lot of questions, but no presentation or anything was required.

Tell me about a time when you and someone you worked with disagreed on your approach to a project; how did you convince the other person to go along with your plan/action?

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Labcorp (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2023

      Interview

The interview process was smooth and quick. There are a total of 2 to 3 rounds ( depending on the rec). The recruiter reached out through a phone message. This was followed by a phone call, where the recruiter asked basic question-why are you interested in this role? Why Labcorp? etc, This was followed by a hiring manager interview , upon clearning, the final round was a panel interview ( which includes hiring manager, senior managers and peers). The recruiter and hiring manager are very responsive . Overall the process will take 2 to 3 weeks ( deepening on interviewee speed and preparation).
