I applied through university. I interviewed at L3Harris (San Diego, CA) in Nov 2019
Interview
I spoke with an engineering manager at an overview session at my university then got an email from a recruiter for a phone interview. Phone interview wasn't too hard. Just general OOP questions and got put through to the onsite. I interviewed with 3 people in 3 different sessions. First was more OOP questions and a simple coding question. Second was implementing a linked list in C. Third was a short interview with the same engineering manager I met at the overview session. Didn't hear back for a week then I emailed the recruiter to follow up and said he was going to contact the manager then never followed up.
Horrible recruiter with slow responses. She didn't let me finish answering her questions, and was quick to move on with the interview. A while later, she said the hiring manager wanted to speak with me, and asked for my availability. I responded with my availability and asked for a time. She never responded and ghosted me. Now my application says it's no longer under consideration.
Got invited to a hiring event in El Segundo . You had your register via email to get invited to this event. Once at the event scan a QR code and wait outside in the lobby area to be called.
The format of the interview can vary a bit by department. The whole process can be long and somewhat repetitive. They look for answers in the STAR format (situation or task, action and result)
