I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kroll (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2015
Interview
Overall the interview process was very straightforward and HR was extremely supportive throughout the entire process.
Would recommend that applicants go over finance topics pertaining to DCF valuation and feel comfortable discussing them. In-person interview was a combination of both technical and behavioral questions with Directors / Managing Director - level interviewers.

Question 1
Why might P/E ratios differ for two companies with the same revenues?
First round interview was virtual. Was shown interview questions prior to recording my answers, and had unlimited time to prepare before answering. There were quite a few question, though I was able to take as much time as needed to prepare.
Overall average interview including dcf and other valuation approaches focus including precedents and market multiples , overall capital markets knowledge might also be useful including knowledge about what kroll does
Multiple rounds, first phone interview. Then flown into office where we did interviews with some of the team members, then a case study with other interviewees and presented to the team and had lunch after. Later received a phone call.
