The recruiter was an unprofessional mess! She was an internal recruiter who worked AT Klaviyo. She reached out to me to set up a phone screening. When we set it up on Monday, I realized it was a holiday and most offices were closed. When I reached out to her about this, she ghosted me. I can let that slide because the week before a three-day weekend is always hectic and busy. I assumed we would reschedule after the weekend. When we finally did reschedule, I introduced myself and her FIRST statement to me was "we already have final candidates and we are NOT paying for your relocation fee." Wow, way to start off a first impression. I kept it professional and thanked her for her time. But her overall attitude and execution of things were poor and left a sour taste in my mouth. What happened to empathy and compassion? So many people get a cushy tech job and think they can mistreat potential candidates. What a waste of my time. I hope that lady learns to grow a human heart.
