Overall the process was fairly smooth and I enjoyed the folks I met with. At the end I was one of two people left for a position and I received an automated email from the recruiter saying that the role had been filled and that they were sorry they weren't able to 'talk to me directly' during the hiring process... the thing is, I had 9 interviews and came in person into the office to meet the team. All this to say, I reached out to the recruiter for a note of clarification and was ghosted and reached out to the hiring manager to thank her for her time and see if she had any feedback for me and was also, ghosted. If I was one of hundreds of applicants, I would get it, but I was literally one of two left for the role and neither the hiring manager nor the recruiter (who I had been working with for over a month) could take a moment to answer my question or provide feedback? It honestly gave me everything I needed to know about the company and ultimately I'm glad I didn't get the role.
