While doing some contracting I was passively looking for a full time role and saw a LinkedIn Kitman post advertising roles. I contacted the email provided and shortly after had a brief high level screening with the in house recruiter.
After that I met the head of engineering for roughly a 30 minute 1:1. It felt slightly informal(in the good sense) and was very informative about the company, it's practices and ambitions.
As i was finishing off other work, the final interview was a few weeks after. Kitman was pretty accommodating when it came to timelines, which was a good sign they weren't trying to rush and hire anyone to fill the gaps.
The final interview itself was I think around 4 hours long. The idea at first seems daunting but it's split up between meeting with different technical and non technical team members. It felt more like a work environment with a colleague rather than a judging technical exam. You work through objectives based around a small app you're given on a USB, then just expand and discuss it till the time runs out essentially.
