Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about approaches to projects on my resume in the intro call. For the take home projects, they asked in detail about the features I coded.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kapwing in Jul 2025
Interview
I was told this would be a very casual intro convo but it ended up being a rushed and formal interview with someone I wasn’t told I’d be meeting. The interviewer clearly had no interviewing experience nor interest. The energy was strange and awkward, questions were asked very quickly with no time to connect or elaborate. Then suddenly, I was told there would be a 2-3 day project involved, which hadn’t been mentioned before. Sent them the project then they ghosted me despite sending a follow up email. I’m pretty sure they wanted to scout out free ideas for a landing page. Honestly, it felt disorganized and misleading. And did I mention? They took the job posting down, then posted it back up two weeks later. Would not recommend this company.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kapwing (New York, NY) in Jan 2025
Interview
First take home project. Then interview that dives into background and some behavioral questions. Then an interview that tackles coding question. Also system design interviews that ask you to build a system conceptually and optimize it.
