Never went past recruiter email. They wrote to me saying they liked my CV and started with back and forth of salary discussions without even talking to me about my experience. Whilst I appreciate getting the monies conversation out of the way first so we avoid wasting each others' time, the response from the recruiter was lazy and there was no proper clarity on whether they can work with my ask or even provide proper answers to my questions regarding their benefits. Very weird experience showing that the company's main interest is in haggling with candidates over minute details of their salary expectations, and not providing them with a clear overview of their benefits; all of this over the candidate experience, culture fit and skills
