Call with the recruiter, she is happy with the outcome of the call and tells me they will go quick.
After one month and several emails, they finally get back to me with a slot with the hiring manager.
When I check her LinkedIn profile, I see she is in the same position I am applying for (maybe I'll be replacing her?)
The interview starts, she says I have applied for the specialist role and I say "actually, for the Lead one" she looks shocked.
Throughout the whole interview she looks exhausted, annoyed, upset. She is extremelly unpleasant and snappy at me. She looks frustrated.
She asks me discriminatory questions (age, marital status) and addresses discriminatory topics saying that if you are more than 30 years old you are too old for this position.
She is patronising, arrogant, rigid and passive agressive.
When it's my turn for questions and I ask her for a question, she has a small comment such as "ah, that question... alright" or "you are asking the same question I did".
I think JET needs to do some interviewing skills awareness, even to the HR team.
Worst interview experience ever, my heart was racing. I have never felt so bad in my professional life.
