From the very beginning, I was impressed with the team at JupiterOne. From the intro call, to the technical assessment, to the technical "on-site" interview the team demonstrated expertise and an obvious focus on taking care of people.

Question 1
What have you learned in your experience with leading a team?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JupiterOne (Remote) in Dec 2022
Interview
Had an hour and a half interview with two of the engineers on the team. Went through my background, and some of the technical aspects of my previous work. Also went through a few technical questions on system design, networking and reliability. Overall I felt the questions were very relevant, and the interviewers were engaging and quite competent.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at JupiterOne in Jan 2022
Interview
- 1hr interview with engineering manager
- Takehome project
- 2x 1hr technical interviews with engineers
- 1hr behavioral interview with management
Total hours of spent between take-home project and interview time was 9hrs.
Was asked to design a system for a non-trivial application with 15mins remaining in the interview.
I don't see how anyone could evaluate my thought process or have a decent technical conversation in 15mins. All I had time to do was throw out buzzwords with a one sentence justification.
