I applied through university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at John Deere (Moline, IL)
Interview
Talked to them at school career fair, on-campus interview was next day and found out about 2nd round interview within two weeks. Was flown to Moline, IL to interview. Typical STAR interview model. They just want to make sure you're competent and have ability to learn.

Question 1
I had never been in a STAR type interview so it was a little hard to think of responses but as the interview proceeded, it go easier.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at John Deere (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2025
Interview
They used the STAR method in a pretty basic interview, not much technical depth but they wanted to hear technical project experience. There were two interviewers, and the interview lasted around an hour.
Used STAR method, and questions were pretty normal about projects, past experiences, and college clubs/student organizations. Got back relatively quickly with word that I wouldn’t be going to a second round interview

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had a disagreement with a team member and how did you resolve it?
2 weeks after applying got contacted to do a phone-screen with an engineer. Was supposed to be 15 minutes but ended up being ~45. Talked about school, John Deere, and went in depth through my resume. 2 weeks after that, was contacted for a 1 hour behavioral interview with 2 other engineers and it was only 5 questions. About a week later, got an email to talk with the a recruiter where they extended the offer. Everyone was very nice and actually seemed like they wanted to be there for the interview and get to know me.
