I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Jimmy John's (Morris, IL) in Jun 2024
Interview
I applied for a Delivery Driver position at this store and received an email within an hour to select a date and time for an in-person interview. I chose 6/10/24 at 2:30 pm CT. Prior to the interview, I received 5 texts and 5 email reminders. When I arrived at 2:15 pm, I informed the cashier that I was there for an interview. She announced "Interview," and a man rolling out bread dough responded, "I am too busy today." Initially, I thought he was joking, so I asked him to repeat it, but he reiterated, "I can't do today - no interviews." There was no apology, no attempt to reschedule, just a dismissive and disrespectful response. As a Jimmy John's customer and Rewards member, I am both shocked and disappointed by this experience. Please inform your HR/Talent Acquisition team of this situation. Additionally, I would like to withdraw my application for this position at this store.

Question 1
To write the entire menu from memory on a blank piece of paper
Reached out directly to the store, and had a casual 30 minute interview with the general manager where he asked me typical questions for an entry-level food service job. Very friendly and was clear that they were willing to hire any motivated applicant.
Pretty basic interview, they just needed bodies, don't expect too much as it's just restaurant style informal interview processes. Hours are flexible, people seemed nice enough, they just want reliability and consistency with your schedule. They don't have provided delivery vehicles so it's your own wear and tear.
