I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at JetBrains
Interview
Die Leute waren sehr nett, leider hat aber der Job nicht gepasst. Es wird ein Test angeboten, die eine Kanzlei mit Kandidaten macht. Leider kennt sich das Unternehmen mit deutschem Juristenmarkt nicht aus

Question 1
Waren alle Standardfragen -was man gemacht hat etc
Had a good, engaging conversation with the recruiter. The role description deviated slightly from the advertised vacancy, and some responsibilities shifted. Overall expectations, scope, and next steps were not fully clear by the end afterwards.

Question 1
Standard interview questions were asked, covering experience, skills, motivation, briefly.
I had a very disappointing experience with the selection process for a legal counsel position. The hiring process is excessively long and unnecessarily complicated, especially considering this is a mid-level role.
The process involved too many steps, repeated interviews, and long waiting periods between each stage, with very limited communication or feedback. From start to finish, the process can last anywhere from three to six months, which is unreasonable for this level of seniority. At several points, it felt unclear whether the process was actually moving forward or simply stalled.
This appears to reflect a broader issue with the company’s hiring practices. The same position seems to remain open for extended periods — in some cases close to a year — suggesting internal indecision or inefficiencies in approval and decision-making. This creates frustration for candidates who invest significant time and effort with little clarity or outcome.
