I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Jane Street (London, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
Applied online referencing a referral from a current employee. A phone interview was set up by one person, actual phone call made by someone else. The phone interview was about 45 minutes long and very in depth, asking questions I would have assumed to be asked in person.
At the end of the call, I was told that if there was interest to meet me in person, I would be contacted again.

Question 1
How do you deal with stress? What are your interests or hobbies? How would you deal with a coworker disagreement/criticism? Why did you leave your last company? Why are you leaving your current position? Why Jane Street?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Jane Street (New York, NY) in Oct 2018
Interview
The phone interview was very straightforward in that they ask you about your relevant experience and expand on the available position. The in person interview was difficult in that it was more of a conversation about what your passionate about, why Jane street?; what do you love about Jane street?; what is the biggest challenge you had to face in your life?; so essentially they want to ensure you are a right fit for their team and their culture.
