I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Jamison Capital Partners (New York, NY) in Feb 2015
Interview
Applied through college department. Interviewed on site by a manager and an associate separately. Went through resume. Emphasized on capability of using statistical software like R. No technical questions or brain teasers what so ever, since it is an unpaid position. Asked about hours available to work. Mentioned that work can be done at home and interns do not have to come to the office every day.
I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jamison Capital Partners (New York, NY) in Dec 2009
Interview
The first interview took place on my university campus. It consisted of a 1:1 interview with a current employee of the firm. It's a relatively new firm branched off of JP Morgan. The interview consisted of a resume analysis, future goals, and a few brain teasers. They asked me if I read the wall street journal, the economists..etc.
The final round took place in their New York office. Went through a series of interviews consisting of finance questions, statistics, brain teasers, probability related questions, and trading strategies. Definitely a stressful interview. They didn't hire anyone in the end because their "funding in January never came in."
