I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Jackson Lewis in Dec 2020
Interview
Interviewed with 10 attorneys, not very interactive or informative based on number of interviews and attorneys. The process was not at all transparent and difficult to engage with partners (especially 3 at a time talking at you rather than engaging in any sort of back and forth).
pretty straight forward interview process. Just know what your practice is and why you want to move. I had a screener and two interviews. It was an entirely remote interview process
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Have you asked your (full service) firm if you can practice in their L&E department?
Screening interview plus interview with partners on team. Partners involved in the interview just went through my resume line by line. Interview was more "describe each experience" than "let's see if you're a good fit" type.
Screener with recruiter. First interview with one partner. Second interview with two partners. The first interview partner was great- sense of humor and spoke like a human being, as opposed to an attorney. The two partners at the second interview were stereotypical attorneys - no sense of humor, boring personalities, and “all about business.”

Question 1
How large is my current case load. Why I am leaving my current firm. What is your experience so far.
