I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at JOIN talent (Johannesburg) in Jul 2025
Interview
The interview process was smooth and super engaging. The team hired me in less than a week. I’m really impressed with how the team set me up for success and were super professional throughout

Question 1
Do you have experience in Go-To-Market recruitment?
Disappointing candidate experience from a recruitment company. If you're a recruiter considering a role here, it's worth reflecting on the interview process reviews - as your own career may be judged by the standards set internally - which are poor.
I’m sharing this in the hope it’s helpful for future candidates and for the internal team reflecting on candidate experience.
The initial stages of the process were excellent. I had a particularly positive interaction with one of the senior members of the recruiting team, whose energy and clarity made me feel genuinely excited about the opportunity. Unfortunately, my experience shifted during the next stage, where I sensed a lack of engagement from one of the interviewers, who was obviously distracted and typing on another screen.
It left me unsure whether I was being taken seriously as a candidate, which was disheartening after investing time and preparation.
Communication afterward was inconsistent, and I was left unclear on the status of my application for several days, really struggling to get though to the company via email and phone calls. Eventually, I was offered the role, but by that time I had accepted another offer and felt hesitant based on the overall experience.
I work closely with hiring processes in my own role as a head of recruiting and know how critical candidate experience is.
Despite the time that’s passed, the memory of this process has stayed with me—both the highs and the lows. I hope this feedback helps support continued improvements.

Question 1
General client success management and KPI questions
Was contacted by a recruiter in the UK for a position in Dublin with an American Insurance company they are working for and having trouble with. Went through two rounds then heard absolutely nothing. Followed up and was told another candidate went in the week before and waiting for feedback from the client before they put anyone else in. Haven't heard a thing since. Extremely poor recruitment service and as a recruiter myself I know for a fact this is not how you should treat candidates. It always confirms that if this is how they treat potential employees, this company is not for me. I should have looked at these reviews before agreeing to interview.
