I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at JLR (Gaydon, England) in Sep 2012
Interview
I had a single Interview gained via an employment agency after applying a week before (so a very prompt system). The interview was set in a very comfortable environment with the prospective line manager and a senior staff member of the team, both of whom were very knowledgeable but did not make you feel bad.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at JLR (Gaydon, England) in Nov 2014
Interview
Application through JLR online portal, invited to Gaydon for interview with the manager who is offering the position, plus a second manager from another business area. They had a standard set of questions to prompt a discussion, but left them easily to explore responses when needed, not sticking too closely to the pre-set framework. I got the impression the managers wanted to establish my technical skill, but the framework was more built toward personality evaluation. In all, it felt like a good pleasant chat between engineers who all enjoyed working with cars. Afterward, there was a long wait until the company could extend an offer, much longer than I expected (approaching 2 months).

Question 1
Various technical questions about the area of car design I'd applied to (I'd prefer not to be too specific)
