I applied through other source. I interviewed at JDR Cables
Interview
Involved a preliminary online interview followed by a short online assessment then an in-person interview. The preliminary one involved a few questions about myself and the cv but mostly I received information about what kind of projects the company did. The online assessment was not straightforward but time-pressured. The in-person interview involved questions about myself combined with technical questions after. After my final interview I waited 3 months to be told that I had got the job. I then waited 2 months for a contract that never arrived. Despite contacting them multiple times asking when I should expect it, they kept saying that they were finalising the salary and it should be with me by the end of the week - they said this multiple times. I finally received a phone call saying that they cancelled the graduate role in the location that I'd applied for.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JDR Cables (Hartlepool, England) in Sep 2024
Interview
Was a 3 stage interview process:
1st with recruiter
2nd with Senior Design Engineers, technical questions
3rd with Lead Design Engineers, very technical questions.
I enjoyed the interviewing process and appreciate all the support from the team I worked in during my training period. Be sure to review your materials sciences in offshore equipments. And processes of offshore cable rigging (that is, unloading the cable from ship into the sea/ocean, all the steps involved).
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at JDR Cables (Littleport, England) in Dec 2024
Interview
Initial discussion with HR, expected salary discussed. 20 minute interview, very positive, interviewers came over as genuine and likeable. Discussion with HR and salary discussed, and salary agreed next day. One day before interview salary dropped by £4k. Very poor, feels dishonest so cancelled 2nd interview.
