I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JCPenney
Interview
The entire process was pretty easy. First, I recieved a call and was asked a few simple questions (am i still looking for work, why do i want to work in retail, etc.). I was asked to come in for a group interview, which made me a little nervous because I had never done that before. Once I got there, we were placed in groups of five people. The first activity was a communication excersize. We had to take turns looking at a picture of a building made out of blocks and trying to explain to the others how to build it. It's a timed activity, but it was pretty easy and we ended up finishing a few minutes early. After that, we had to choose our favorite idea from a list of ways to improve the store and present it to the group. The group then chooses its favorite out of everyone's ideas. The keys to success in the group interview are mainly eye contact and just being as friendly with the other people as possible. Speak like you would speak to a customer. The final part of the process was a 1-1 interview with the manager. He asked a couple questions (mainly about if I was willing to work holidays). It was quick and simple.
It was overall an easy interview. In a group setting of interviewees, we were asked to each talk about what we thought good customer service was. Then, we had some blocks to build a structure, a house I remember. Without the person you were instructing being able to see the blueprint, you had to describe what to do with the blocks without touching the blocks. I didn't know how I did, but I got hired. This was the holidays of 2017. :)

Interview
I got a phone call to schedule an interview, which was quick and convenient. In the interview, one of the managers asked me star scenario questions and asked why I wanted to work for JCP. At the end of the interview, I got an offer.
