Interview
It started with a 30-minute screening with a company recruiter, then a 30-minute meeting with the individual this role would directly report to.
The next steps were to complete a “small” unpaid project. However, the project I was asked to complete included reviewing 13 pages of company research/data before creating a series of deliverables. The deliverables included a high-level campaign strategy including messaging, marketing channels, and KPI metrics, a mockup of a landing page with core messaging and CTAs, and 3-5 supporting marketing materials, which included digital ads, an email marketing sequence, sales collateral like a one-pager or case study, and copy and visuals for organic social posts.
I quickly opted out, as I found this to be a ridiculous way to get A LOT of free work from interviewees.

Interview
Overall interviews were great! I had two interviews. One with the hiring manager and one with the CFO. Was notified of being hired a day later after the second interview

Interview
I was contacted for an initial screening with an operations employee. That went well and she was great. I then moved on to a technical interview with a senior IT employee. The second interview with a disaster. In part due to myself being nervous and bungling the answers and in part to him being short, rude, and unhelpful. I would ask for clarification on questions he posed to me and he would not provide any. He restated the question and said "just describe x, y, and z" without helping with parameters or guiding in any way. Complete lack of empathy or understanding.
