Imprint interview questions

Had an interview scheduled for a Director of fraud ops today. Woke up this morning to an email “hey heads up, role was filled but we think you would be great for a manager level!” Why would a current director with 20 years of experience bother interviewing for a manager level? Ha!

I had an initial screen and was ghosted for several weeks. After that they reached out to have me complete coding + system design + behavioral interviews, which I did well on. Then I had a final meeting with HM, after which I was rejected. Huge waste of time, at least do the HM meeting first so I don't first waste a month going back and forth with the other interviewers on the panel.
