Screening call was fairly straightforward, but the role itself felt less clearly defined than the job description suggested.
The JD positioned the role as payments/FX focused, but during the screening call it became clear the role is much more generalist and operational in nature than expected.
One important detail not mentioned in the job description was the expectation to be in the office 4 days per week, which may be relevant for candidates considering the role. Also salary range and expectations weren’t discussed.
The discrepancies between the JD and the discussion left me feeling that the role was less aligned with what had been advertised and potentially more chaotic operationally than expected. The team structure also appeared poorly resourced. My experience generally matches the reviews I read.
