The hiring manager has no idea o Data science! he is not able to examine if your are qualified or not. This role was client based, J&J. So they brought a team of three, really junior data scientists to ask questions about LLM, RAG, Git, and also your feeling, how you feel about mathematics behind LLM? Have you worked with casual inference? They seem to be all over the place, not knowing what they want. The end results was, oh we need somebody with more R experience! whereas in the job description R can be considered! They were even lazier to make a proper reason to reject! Anyway if you are not junior, or just graduated form uni dont bother applying! they are too juniors.
