      Manager Interview

      Apr 7, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Westchester, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at IAA (Westchester, IL)

      Interview

A third party retained search firm contacted me about a position. I sent my resume and was told the company was hiring quickly. So an interview with the hiring manager was set up Very quickly. So the process stated out smooth. It went south when I asked for the hiring managers email address from the retained search firm and the internal recruiter. Retained search didn’t have the email and internal told me to email a letter to Him and he would forward. Who does that? I wound up being ghosted despite numerous follow ups. Ghosting is completely unprofessional after you have invested time in an interview. A simple “thanks for your time but we are pursuing other candidates” is sufficient.
