Meeting lead team members and day to day members of the team for a first interview and then follow up interview with senior leaders for final checks where there was a bit more of a grilling.

Interview
The process consisted of 2 interviews conducted by 2 different people. Interviews went smoothly as the interviewers were very nice and seemed happy to be interviewing me. After the interviews I got offered a job, however I negotiated with them to raise it to the max of their budget allowance for that role. In which both parties agreed and I accepted the offer. After accepting they expressed their happiness in me accepting the job and in another email I got told because my salary expectations were high they started looking for other candidates within their budget and that I would be competing with other candidates again. So after they offered me a job they took it back instantly because they wanted to pay less. I expressed my discontent for the situation as it is extremely unethical to offer someone a job and then ghosting them. They replied saying they were sorry and that they would contact me once the other candidates interviews were over so we could do the case study. I haven't heard anything about them in a month.
