This miscommunication created unnecessary confusion and showed a lack of coordination between HR and the interview team. The onsite experience itself raised even more concerns. While waiting, I watched another candidate be greeted warmly with a handshake and a friendly introduction. In contrast, my interviewer didn’t even approach me. She stood off to the side and waited for me to walk over to her, without offering a handshake or any professional greeting. When we entered the interview room, her manager remained seated, didn’t stand up, and didn’t shake my hand either. The overall tone felt dismissive and disengaged. The case study prompt — a grocery delivery company facing complaints about CO₂ emissions and excessive plastic usage — was reasonable, but the interviewers’ lack of professionalism overshadowed the content of the discussion. Overall, the process felt inconsistent, poorly communicated, and lacking basic respect for candidates. First impressions matter, and based on how applicants are treated, I’m not confident in the company’s internal culture or leadership standards.
