I worked at Home Depot Canada full-time

    Pros

New technologies and good work life balance

    Cons

No proper tree for team structure. Manager will keep acting as Lead/Architect also. So, you always have to deal with your manager for any small issue and no way to express freely.

  7. "Great Place for First Part Time Job"

    5.0
Current Employee - Seasonal Sales Associate in North York, ON

I have been working at Home Depot Canada part-time

    Pros

Scheduling - store is operational from 6AM to 10PM. People who have really flexible schedule will love it Room for improvement: They always promote within before hiring from outside Benefit: Health, Dental, Tuition Reimbursement etc

    Cons

Too flexible: you never get a fixed schedule Depending on the department you might not get a lot of hours at certain periods in a year especially winter

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Home Depot Canada full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Room to advance, lots of training to help get you there. Awesome benefits, even for part time. Lots of extra support outlets for life issues.

    Cons

Low pay. Depending on your department, not alot of help for certain tasks. SOME managers seem to not care, until they look bad, then everything is your fault. Flipside, some awesome managment as well.

I worked at Home Depot Canada part-time for less than a year

    Pros

People you were working with were very nice and respectful

    Cons

If you are a student, it's difficult to work in this job with the hours you are required to work. Demanding too much for a minimum wage payment.

I worked at Home Depot Canada part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great coworkers (including Head Cashiers), profit-sharing, and very good training program.

    Cons

Being forced to sell their credit cards to customers, not very flexible hours, customers were the rudest out of any other retail store I worked at.
