I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Grandville, MI) in Nov 2013
Interview
I applied online and went in for an interview the next week. When I got to the store, a worker sat me down in the lobby with a couple others to wait for the whole group. It took place in the food court with four other people, not including the person interviewing us. The woman who was running the interview seemed apathetic about us and the interview. There were only a few questions. I can only remember a couple. What does diversity mean to you? What's something interesting about you? When was a time you worked well with others? When was you had a short amount of time to get something done and did it? It was a very short interview, the entire thing only took about a half hour. A friend of mine who works there gave me a few tips (mostly for females): Wear all Hollister clothes, including blue or black Hollister flip flops, roll your jeans to just a bit above your ankle, and make sure you're not on your phone when you're waiting in the lobby. Since workers aren't allowed to wear make up other than mascara, make sure you don't either. Also keep jewelry to only one earring in each ear and it's best to have a natural hair color. These things will show that you are fit to work at Hollister.

Group interview with around 6-8 people. Formulaic questions. Very easy to prepare, much info online about what questions they ask. Lasted about 30 minutes. They take your photo at the end.
Easy, basic questions. I do think there may be a bias towards some people but overall was a basic interview. Not sure how they run it now but my interview was done in the mall food court.
