It's my understanding that Highspot is growing rapidly and these are part of growing pains. I thought that applying through an employee referral may help fastrack me in terms of visibility to the recruiting team, but it just led to a complete mess. First I didn't hear back from the recruiter until I pestered my friend to check in for me, and the first screening seemed fine. The next step was a call with the hiring manager. A few days before that call, the recruiting coordinator emailed me late at night with an urgent request for reschedule. I immediately responded with a few alternative times, but never heard back. I decided to show up to the originally scheduled time anyway, and lo and behold, the hiring manager showed up. We had a pleasant chat and I was able to answer her questions. She told me I should expect to hear a follow-up by the next week. A week goes by and radio silence. I emailed the recruiting coordinator and still nothing. Eventually I reach back out to the original recruiter, and he sent me a boilerplate rejection email. However the job title reference on the email was not what I applied for. In fact it's not a position I would have even considered. I honestly thought I'd be a great fit for the position I was going for, and the state of recruitment is already a mess, but this was a complete cluster. I sympathize as a project manager myself, but I still see this as a sign of a company shooting themselves in the foot.
