I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Hertz in Jan 2011
Interview
Three interviews, one phone interview with recruiter, one with direct report and a second with General Manager. Recruiter calls to just check your pulse to see if you can be a general good fit for the company. The second interview determines whether you can get a long with your direct report, test your personal skills because you will be leading a team of 50+ people depending on location, and establish yourself as ambitious and hardworking due to the long hours required and even longer hours needed to do well. Lastly, the GM is looking for someone who is going to push the sales initiatives of the company and how you will help in this matter.

Question 1
In a crisis situation between an employee and a customer, what would you do?
It was pretty simple. The first interview was a phone interview with a lower level HR person basically just to go over salary and stuff to make sure you're okay with what they're offering, then in-person interview with the area manager, then HR again. Then a drug test.

Question 1
Give me an example of time that you've solved a very difficult situation. What was the issue? What did you do? What was the outcome? Would you have done anything differently?
The interview process was intense. They are looking for individuals that want to lead a team and help to achieve the companies goals. Hertz seeks for the best of the best. You have to be confident. Show your strengths and be accountable for your weaknesses.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hertz (Jacksonville, FL) in Aug 2021
Interview
Very long interview process. Multiple interviews. Very professional and done in a specific order. Followed definite interview playbook. Had to wait a long time for a manager to acknowledge I was there.
