Negative Interview Experience
I recently had a disappointing interview experience that I feel compelled to share. After applying for an Accounts Receivable position, an HR representative contacted me via WhatsApp to schedule a call. What followed was unprofessional and frustrating.
During the interview, the HR representative asked irrelevant questions that had nothing to do with the AR job description:
- "How many states are there in the USA?"
- "What is the deductible for Medicare?"
These questions were completely unrelated to the accounts receivable skills and experience listed in the job posting. What made the experience even worse was the interviewer's behavior - constantly cutting me off mid-response and demonstrating a lack of professionalism throughout the call.
This type of interview approach fails to evaluate relevant qualifications and creates a negative impression of the organization. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend pursuing opportunities with this company. A professional interview should focus on skills and experience pertinent to the role rather than unrelated trivia questions.
