The interview was a multi-step interview similar to most interviews: phone screen, technical take-home test, in-person technical test, and cultural fit interview. The technical tests are fairly average, not too hard. The only negative about the process was the length of time it took.

The initial interview process was great. I had multiple conversations with the recruiter. It was a challenge to get the Technical interview scheduled. I was told that the 3rd interview was going to be a cultural interview to see how you would fit with different teams. This "cultural" interview seem to be the toughest one. It felt like they where drilling questions. I came out of it thinking I didn't get it. My interpretation of a "cultural" interview was way different. I thought I was going to be shown around, discuses career goals and how Health Catalyst fits in. Even might play ping-pong or something. Really get to know you. I didn't hear back for a while and I called back to find out what was happening. I was then asked to do another "cultural" interview with another team. It took a while to schedule that, but I came out of that feeling a lot more comfortable. I then had another phone interview with the manager because he was unable to be at the cultural one. That went extremely well and I was excited to work with this manager and with Health Catalyst. But after 5 interviews I better had made the cut. With in a few days I was offered a position and accepted it. ;-)
