I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hamilton Group (Rapperswil-Jona) in Oct 2024
Interview
Sensible interview process, however, it took a very long time from application to conclusion (over two months).
Phone interview, remote chat, then coding homework, followed by a live interview with whiteboard task and finished by another remote chat with department lead. Everybody was really nice and I found the questions to be interesting, not very challenging but not trivial either. No complaints towards HR or technical personnel at all.
In the end it all came down to money - the offer was far below what I am earning now and not at all competitive. It was actually significantly lower than my starting salary in Switzerland years ago. I said I would take the offer if they can manage a bit more - they said they would try. 3 days later they come back to me with the final offer which was not increased at all. Job ad was posted again shortly after I declined. Weird approach, 4+ months long recruitment process will cost them more than giving a candidate a slightly better salary. My advice would be to probe them about the salary earlier, because it's a bummer to get a 20% lower salary offer after investing hours into four stages of interviews spread across two months.
Very good benefits, probably the best I've been offered.
Interview consisted of several rounds including a 2nd and 3rd round technical interview, and a 1st round interest / soft skills interview. You are then usually given a tour of the company.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Hamilton Group (Reno, NV) in Dec 2016
Interview
Phone screening about your background with a few technical questions. Nothing too serious. On-site group interview lasted a few hours. We mostly discussed past projects, project architecture/design, and other past experience. No technical coding questions.
