Very short, non-intensive interview with a recruiter; conversational 30-minute video call with HR. Pleasant conversation but did not learn much about the role or company. Did not receive an offer, which was not unexpected.

Interview
Conversation about their business gathering private intelligence on behalf of clients. The business practices sounded borderline corrupt, for example extravagant gifts in exchange for information from sources. There was no clear action after the initial conversation and neither I nor the interviewer followed up.
Questions were vague and all over the place. Didn’t feel like a typical interview. A lot of questions about future career aspirations. No growth opportunities. Wanted people to move on to law school or government or McKinsey after 3 years.
