I recently interviewed for an SDE-2 position, and I’d like to share my experience. The process consisted of three rounds:
Two Technical Rounds – These rounds focused on system design (LLD & HLD), and problem-solving skills. The discussions were engaging, and I was able to answer most of the questions well.
One Cultural Fit Round – This round was more about team collaboration, work ethics, and how I handle real-world challenges.
I completed all the rounds successfully and was hopeful about the next steps. However, after the final round, there was no response from HR. I sent multiple follow-up emails requesting feedback, but I did not receive any reply. I also tried reaching out via calls, but they were not answered.
I believe clear communication and transparency are crucial in the hiring process. Regardless of the outcome, candidates invest their time and effort in interviews, and they deserve an update—whether they are selected or not. Not receiving feedback after completing multiple rounds reflects poorly on the hiring ethics of a company.
I hope companies ensure better candidate experience by keeping communication open and providing timely updates.
