      Project Manager Interview

      Apr 29, 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Gogo

      Interview

Interview process took approx. 1.5 weeks. Got a job offer within that timeframe. Two phone interviews - one with Hiring Manager and another with HR. 5 in-person interviews with leadership team.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Most questions were expected. All the interviewers wanted responses supported with examples from previous experience. There was more stress on candidate being a fit for the organization than on experience / skills.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Gogo (Itasca, IL)

      Interview

Initial phone screen from third party recruiter. Phone interview next day, offer received the day after. Very fast process. It was clear from the beginning I was a good fit. It seemed they were very eager to hire anyone at that time. Were in a big growth curve at that time.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Experience in aviation, examples of project management experience. Understanding what AOG is was key.

      Project Manager Interview

      Jul 17, 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Itasca, IL
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Gogo (Itasca, IL) in Jul 2012

      Interview

Worst service I have ever received from a recruiter working for Gogo. Initial interview was with the Directory of Engineering which went well enough and based on what I heard I expected further contact. Received a 2 line email from their recruiter saying that Gogo was interested in offering me the position for X dollars per hour and wanting me start on July 23rd. I responded with several questions and concerns. The first being that this appeared to be a "contract" hire, not direct. I asked the contract duration and where the position was to be located. I received another email from the recruiter stating that is was a contract position for 6 months and I would be expected to relocate to Itasca, IL. Needless to say I declined the position and would advise anyone looking for work to look elsewhere.
